Metro Toastmasters Club organised Humorous Speech and Evaluation Contest on  Thursday 8 September 2011.

The results of the contest are as the following:

Runner Up: Janis Santiago

Speech Evaluation Contest
Champion: Helen Quat
1st Runner Up: Ellie Low
2nd Runner Up: Mohammad Shukur 


President Shukur said,"Outstanding work! I believe everybody who attended, enjoyed themselves. It's a loss for those who could not make it. We learned so many things.
Special thanks to Joanne and Amanda. Each and everyone contributed in some way and I thank you all.
I believe with this kind energy and team-work, we will reach even greater heights. Thank you'll once again".

Metro Toastmasters Meeting 11 Aug 2011

We had a fruitful & MIRTHFUL meeting yesterday.

Thanks to Anna! I have now learnt a new word and trying to use it everyday before I forget.

Let us now plan for an even greater meeting 2 weeks from now, on the August 25th. The next meeting theme is "SHARPEN YOUR SAW".

For new members who wonder what is a humorous speech and how is it done. We have an external speaker who is going to demonstrate that to us.

Role players & Speakers, pls confirm by Aug 18th (coming Thursday) of your attendance and role assignment.

All members, pls RSVP as well. Agenda will follow nearing to date.

Look forward to seeing all of you in 2 weeks again!
