Fabulous Job Everyone!!
Echo to what Yee has said, we made a BIG BANG after a good break!
The attendance was encouraging, the participation was inspiring and the feedback from guests were promising!
Special thanks to all role players in setting the standard high yesterday. We achieved so much yesterday mainly because:
1) We prepared Well
The
effort that TME Stephen put in this role was tremendous. His powerpoint
slides weren’t the same as the last one. He injected new information,
related the message to the most recent hot topic of Olympics, inspired
people with a poem. This is the spirit that we should learn from TME
Stephen, ie to be ZEST in doing whatever role that is assigned to us. If
he would take it as ‘aiya..me again ah!’ then I am sure the outcome
would have been very different. Don’t you agree?
Secondly,
the Table Topic Master who prepared well of her maiden role, TM Aznah!
She is a fantastic add on to Metro Toastmasters Club. She brings with
her great energy and extraordinary willingness to try new things in
every meeting. Her Table Topic session idea related to the Raya festive
was new in our meeting that I observed so far. Well Done Aznah!
Thirdly,
this meeting would not have this successful without the effort of VPE
Amanda constantly reminding role players and members’ participation,
confirming role playing, encouraging speech assignments, changing role
players at the 11th hour, getting all meeting agenda ready. The preparation is incredible with Amanda's full-hearted contribution.
Finally,
VPM Max for putting up ads on newspaper to attract new members
regularly. Being the ambassador of the club facing guests who know
nothing about Toastmasters, provide info about the club, calling them to
confirm attendance. This requires courage and passion to ‘sell’ the
benefits of Toastmasters effectively with short phone conversation.
Indeed another communication skill that can be picked up!
2) We participated Full Force
Plan
remain as plan without implementation. After a great amount of time and
effort spent in planning, all of us, including members and guests
played a great role in the implementation of the plan.
Zubir
adapted quickly filling up Time Keeper role when asked, Victor Ong
Junior, gave astonishing impromptu speech assignments #5, Helen brought
us through the contest rules using innovative pop quiz model, guests and
members courageously participated in the table topic sessions,
evaluators encouraged and motivated role players and speakers to go next
level high generously…. ALL in ALL made yesterday a remarkable meeting!
Yesterday,
we made a positive impression as a team! How? We have Joshua paying for
application right after meeting and Wendy interested to sign up and
awaiting Max to send the application form!
Metrolites, this is the standard we want to maintain.
Again, Fabulous Job Everyone!
Yours sincerely,
Ellie
